Ropes for the bedroom is a 4 week workshop series for people who would like to explore the possibilities of ropes for the bedroom and other rooms. We are covering everything you need to know to incorporate ropes in a fun and satisfying way. In a safe(r) and welcoming environment, we are developing techniques and approaches to rope bondage (shibari) that are actually useful for you. You can attend single parts of the series or all of the series.  

Part 1: (July 5th and August 2nd) 

  • Safety and consent
  • Wrist and ankle cuffs
  • The sensation of rope
  • Double column ties and attaching a wrist to a bedpost (for example)
  • Different positions

Part 2: (July 12th and August 9th)

  • Brief recap of most important techniques
  • Attachment lines to structures that are further away
  • Different positions
  • Wrapping your partner’s body, frictions and hitches
  • Sensory play while in ropes

Part 3: (July 19th and August 16th) 

  • Brief recap of the most important techniques
  • Toys and ropes: How does the hitachi stay in place
  • Toys made of ropes. Can I tie a strapon? (yes, you can) 
  • “Dirty” floorwork
  • Partial suspensions and the possibilities

Part 4: (July 26th and August 23rd) 

  • Brief recap of the most important techniques
  • Sweet torment: Stay in place while I have fun
  • Possibilities for cuckolding/queaning
  • Predicaments: You can choose between sensation A and B
  • The untying process as the main act. 
  • Date and Time:
    • Series One: July 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th. 11am till ~2.30pm
    • Series Two: August 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd. 11am till ~2.30pm
  • Duration: ~3.5h per class
  • Fee: Each part is $70 (plus taxes) per pair! Visit all four parts for $250 (plus taxes) and safe $30.
  • Prerequisites: None. We recommend visiting part one at least for the other parts but we will recap the basic techniques briefly in the beginning of each part
  • Material to bring: Ropes if you have, we can provide loaner ropes but don’t permit them to be used in contact with mucus membranes (mouth or crotch)
  • For individuals or pairs: Recommended for pairs.

  • Accessibility: 

Studio Allegory is on the ground floor and there are no steps anywhere in the space. There is a single washroom for all with a handle bar and an air hand dryer. We have unscented soap, and we run an industrial air purifier automatically. Studio Allegory has a kitchen corner with a kettle and a coffee maker, as well as a mini fridge and a microwave. Studio Allegory also has a quiet room equipped with fidget toys, colouring books, blankets, noise cancelling earmuffs, and stuffed animals. Upon request we can provide closed captions for our workshops running on a screen. We have masks for a small donation. 

  • Cancellation and refund policy:

If Studio Allegory has to cancel an event, we will either refund ticket holders or transfer tickets to similar events in the future, depending on the wishes of the ticket holder. 

Cancellation by participants: Cancellation before 48h prior to the start of the event entitles the ticket holder to a full refund. Between 48h and the start of the workshop, we can provide a partial refund (50% minus payment processing fees.) or transfer of the ticket to a similar event in the future.

No refund or transfer can be offered for no-shows or cancellation after the event has started.
